Sarmada death toll exceeds 65
At least 67 people including many women and children were killed in the explosion in Idlib countryside on Sunday (August 12), according to Orient correspondent. 

Syria Civil Defense teams have worked to save the victims from under the rubble for 22 hours.

The blast took place in Sarmada district, where civilians displaced from the northern Homs province live, White Helmets director in Idlib Mustafa Haj Youssef told Anadolu Agency. 

He said some 45 civilians have also been injured in the explosion, which destroyed two 6-storey buildings inhabited by displaced civilians. 

According to white Helmets, 17 civilians have been rescued from under the debris of destroyed buildings.
