Hezbollah–affiliated social media pages said a US airstrike targeted on Sunday (Oct. 1) a position of the Lebanese terrorist group in Homs eastern countryside.
The "Jerusalem Post" broke the news on Monday, saying, "7 Hezbollah members were killed in an American attack on a base in Syria".
Meanwhile, the Lebanese “An-Nahar” newspaper said eight Hezbollah terrorists were killed and 15 others were injured without elaboration.
On its side, Reuters confirmed the killing of 7 Hezbollah terrorists in the Syrian Desert, but it said the fighter that carried out the strike was an "unidentified bomber".
Reuters also did not exclude that the strike was carried out mistakenly by a Russian warplane.
Hezbollah made no comment on the airstrike or the human losses among the ranks of its terrorists following the event.
