UN Deputy Envoy for Syria Ramzy Ezzeldin Ramzy arrived at the Assad regime’s delegation’s hotel for preliminary talks in Geneva.
The UN official said he started preliminary talks with the Assad regime, but he would also be speaking to the other participants during the course of the day, to prepare the ground for talks tomorrow.
"The meeting was useful and we hope we would be starting substantive discussions tomorrow,"Ramzy said.
