Netanyahu from China: Israel will continue airstrikes in Syria

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel would continue airstrikes on Syria as long as the airstrikes yield their fruit. Netanyahu‘s words came during the talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday (March 21) on the second day of his three-day visit to Beijing, followed by a meeting with Baidu Inc’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Robin Li.

With respect to the Russian policy towards the airstrikes in Syria, Netanyahu said that the policy did not change.

China has traditionally played little role in the Middle East conflicts or diplomacy, despite its reliance on the region for oil.

China has been trying to get more involved in the Middle East, for example China and Russia used the veto in the United Nations Security Council more than once to prevent imposing sanctions on Assad regime, whose terrorists committed many massacres and used chemical weapons against Syrian civilians.
