Opposition fighters launched on Sunday a new offensive on Assad terrorists’ checkpoints in Jobar neighborhood, northeast of Damascus.
The offensive was kick-started around 05:00 am local time (03:00 GMT) by hitting Assad terrorists’ locations in Jobar, Orient News correspondent Hadi al-Munajed said.
Assad terrorists ran away, leaving their positions in Jobar empty after the car bombs exploded, he added.
In the same context, al-Rahman Brigade said on Twitter social media platform that its fighters were fighting the fiercest battles against Assad terrorists in Jobar neighborhood.
On Saturday, opposition fighters repelled Assad terrorists’ attack as the latter attempted to advance towards Barzeh orchards in the northeastern neighborhoods of Damascus.
