Foreign Shiite militias intensify shelling on eastern Damascus
Foreign Shiite militias continued on Friday (March 17) their military campaign on the eastern neighborhoods of Damascus by targeting Tishreen neighborhood and the orchards of Harasta and Barzeh with rockets and artillery shells in an attempt to occupy more territory.

Activists stated that the Shiite militias targeted Tishreen neighborhood with FEEL missiles, causing significant destruction to its buildings. However, no civilian deaths have been reported yet.

In addition, Assad artillery located on Mount Qassioun targeted the outskirts of al-Qaboun neighborhood.

Meanwhile, opposition fighters foiled an attempt by Assad terrorists and foreign Shiite militias to capture Tishreen neighborhood, killing a number of Assad terrorists and destroying an Assad tank.

The local council of Tishreen neighborhood announced that the neighborhood became "devastated," due to the systematic bombing campaign that had been ongoing for the past month.

The council stressed in a statement that the Assad regime, the Iranian-backed militias and Russian terrorists had begun a bombing campaign targeting residential buildings in the neighborhood at a rate of twenty surface-to-surface missiles and dozens of shells per day.

The council’s statement has pointed out that Assad regime’s campaign aims at changing the demographic region and forcibly displacing the population, stressing that the campaign resulted in the death of dozens of civilians and huge destruction in infrastructure.
