Russian fighter jets renew strikes on residential areas in Idlib
Russian fighter jets carried out Thursday airstrikes on residential areas in Idlib city, injuring a woman and causing damage to civilians’ properties.

Three Russian air raids hit, early in the morning, the areas of al-Motanabi roundabout and al-Zara Bakery in Idlib, Orient News correspondent Muslim Sayed Issa said. The attacks injured a woman, he added, pointing out that huge damage was caused to civilians’ houses.

Video footage published by Qasioun News Agency showed the extent of the damage in the hit area. It also shows civil defense volunteers – aka the White Helmets - working on the attack scene, removing the debris and opening the roads using bulldozers.

A volunteer appears in the footage saying that Russian warplanes conducted three airstrikes on residential areas in the city, but there were only slight injuries among civilians. He adds that civil defense volunteers rushed to the scene to clear it from rubble and debris.

On Wednesday, Russian warplanes also perpetrated a massacre in Idlib, killing 25 civilians, mostly children and women, and injuring dozens.
