Injuries in minibus explosion in pro-Assad Homs district
A number of people were injured by an explosion in a pro-Assad neighborhood in Homs province, west of Syria, pro-Assad media reported on Tuesday.

A loud explosion was heard in Wadi al-Zahab neighborhood, local sources told Orient Net, adding that the explosion turned out to be resulting from an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) which was planted in a passenger minibus.

In an unconfirmed casualty toll, seven people were reportedly injured after the IED was detonated as the minibus was passing near the Transportation Directorate roundabout and the Amusement Park in the Assad-controlled neighborhood, according to pro-Assad social media platforms. There were no reports of any deaths.

Despite the heavy security presence in Homs, which is fully controlled by Assad regime except for the enclave of al-Waer neighborhood, a number of explosions have recently took place in the city. The last of which was a twin attack, claimed by Tahrir al-Sham, that targeted high-level officials in two Assad regime security branches.
