One of the protesters argued that they demand the Turkish authorities to prosecute the Syrian pilot whose perpetrated crimes and massacres have all been closely documented.
Protesters raised banners in both Arabic and Turkish languages, on which “Prosecute the criminal pilot” was written.
In addition to Turkish lawyers, the protest included Syrian politicians and independent figures.
The Assad pilot crashed on Turkish territories on Saturday (March 4) after it was downed by an opposition group as he was targeting civilian neighborhoods in Idlib countryside.
Sofan is currently receiving treatment in a hospital in the province of Hatay, south of Turkey, amidst speculation regarding his fate which remains unknown according to statements made by Turkish Prime Minister Ben Ali Yildirim.
