Assad regime, Russia kill many civilians in Daraa, countryside

Assad warplanes carried out Thursday targeted Daraa city, in southern Syria, and its surroundings with airstrikes, barrel bombs and artillery shelling.
Assad helicopters dropped six barrel bombs on residential areas in Busra al-Sham, Orient News correspondent reported. Assad artillery also hit the city, our correspondent added, pointing out that bombing and shelling led to the death of four civilians and the injury of dozens of others.
Assad barrel bombs also targeted al-Jeeza town, southeast of Daraa, which claimed the life of one civilian and injured several others. The makeshift hospital in the town was rendered out of service as a result of the targeting, our correspondent reported.
In Daraa al-Balad neighborhood, Russian fighter jets targeted the neighborhood with thermobaric bombs (vacuum bombs), while Assad helicopters dropped two barrel bombs on residential areas.
Two surface-to-surface (Fiel) missiles were also launched by Assad terrorists, pounding residential areas, according to our correspondent.
