"Seif was hit by pieces of shrapnel while he was covering the Russian and Assad bombing in Hama northern countryside. His wounds were in the abdomen and legs. Other correspondents working for SMART news agency and for al-Jeser TV channel were seriously injured by the airstrikes. They were taken to Ma’aret al-Nu’man makeshift hospital in Idlib countryside to be treated," Orient News correspondent Feras Karem in Hama said.
In attempts to hide facts, Assad regime has systematically targeted Orient News teams and independent correspondents during its war against Syrians since 2011.
Orient News broadcast vehicle in Damascus eastern countryside’s Douma was targeted in November 2016 by Assad regime’s warplanes, leaving a number of civilian casualties. The Orient News vehicle was almost destroyed and the family members of one of the broadcasting team were slightly injured in November attacks.
