Five Russian soldiers were killed late on Saturday after the ammunition vehicle exploded with them at the crossroad of Zehirat near the coastal Syrian city of Jableh, Orient News correspondent said.
Many blasts followed the first explosion of the ammunition. They were heard at short intervals in the area.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Assad terrorists put a cordon around the area. Access was also denied to whosoever tried approaching the site of the explosion.
Jableh is a coastal city on the Mediterranean in Syria, 25 km north of Baniyas and 25 km south of Latakia.
