A US-led coalition airstrike killed on Saturday a commander in Ahrar al-Sham, a main opposition fighting group in Syria, Orient Net learnt from field sources.
Abo Hani al-Masri was killed after the airstrike targeted his car in Batabo to the north of Idlib, according to the sources.
Ahrar al-Sham witnessed opposition and torn by internal dissension as some members in the group rejected negotiating the Assad regime and going to Astana conference of talks sponsored by Russia and Turkey, while others agreed.
Abo Hani fought against Assad regime in many fronts. He did not defect from the group or give pledge to Fatth al-Sham.
