Turkish army neutralizes 20 ISIS terrorists in north Syria
20 ISIS terrorists were neutralized in northern Syria during the last 24 hours as part of Operation Euphrates Shield, the Turkish military said Monday.

The word "neutralize" is used by Turkish authorities to imply the terrorists in question were killed, captured, or wounded.

The Turkish Armed Forces also hit 23 ISIS targets in northern Syria, said a Turkish General Staff statement.

Turkish jets destroyed two gun positions, 20 buildings, and 76 handmade explosives.

Since the beginning of the operation, Turkish security forces have defused nearly 3,500 handmade explosives and over 55 mines under controlled conditions.

Monday marks the 160th day of the operation. On August 24, the Free Syrian Army (FSA) launched Operation Euphrates Shield with military support from Turkey. So far, FSA fighters have liberated the cities of Jarablus and al-Ra’i in addition to dozens of villages in Aleppo countryside.
