Dozens of Assad, Iran-backed terrorists killed in Wadi Barada
Dozens of Assad and Iran-backed terrorists were killed and wounded Friday as opposition fighters repelled their attempts to storm Wadi Barada valley in Damascus western countryside.

The Media Committee of Wadi Barada confirmed the death of dozens of Assad and Iran-backed terrorists as their attacks were foiled by opposition fighters of Ein al-Fijeh town.

An Assad tank of type T82 was destroyed by opposition fighters, the committee also said.

Iran-backed terrorists intensified their artillery and rocket shelling on Ein al-Fijeh, while Assad helicopters dropped barrel and incendiary napalm bombs on residential areas in the town, conducting more than ten sorties.

More, Ein al-Fijeh was targeted by Iran-backed militias with medium and heavy machine guns and sniper rifles equipped with thermal scopes, which led to the death of two people, one of them was a member of the Medical Committee of Wadai Barada.

The chief editor of the Media Committee of Wadi Barada and the chief executive of the medical committee were injured, according to local sources.

The media committee said yesterday on Friday that Iran-backed militias were trying to storm the villages of Deir Moqrin village and Ein al-Fijeh town from many axes.

The Wadi Barada valley, located 18 kilometers northwest of Damascus, has been under heavy bombing and artillery shelling by Hezbollah and Assad regime for the past 30 days. The attacks killed many civilians and caused widespread damage to property, including the vital Ein al-Fijeh spring facility which provides over four million people in Damascus and its countryside with water.
