US support of Kurdish PYD militia draws angry Turkish response

US support for the YPG-led SDF militia has strained relations with Turkey which considers the militia an extension of the terrorist PKK. The US Central Command republished a statement from the YPG-led SDF trying to distance the militia from the PKK. The move drew angry responses from Turkish officials.
