Assad regime ceasefire violations continue in Idlib, Aleppo, Homs

Three civilians were killed early on Wednesday after Assad and Russian warplanes targeted Taftanaz city in Idlib countryside. Local sources told Orient Net that Russian warplanes targeted residential areas in Taftanaz city killing three civilian and the injury of a number of others.

Similarly, Assad and Russian warplanes conducted a number of overnight airstrikes targeting the outskirts of Idlib city.

Aleppo was also targeted with airstrikes by Assad and Russian warplanes. The neighborhoods of al-Rashideen, Souq al-Jabas, west of the city were hit, in addition to al-Mallah area to the north. No casualties were reported.

These airstrikes come as a ceasefire, brokered by Turkey and Russia, took effect on December 29, 2016. Assad regime and its allies, however, have been committing many violations since then.

On Tuesday, Assad and Russian airstrikes targeted Jisr al-Shughour in Idlib, al-Mansoura and Khan al-Assal in Aleppo countryside and multiple areas in Talbiseh and al-Rastan in Homs northern countryside.
