Assad airstrike injures child in Sirmeen east of Idlib

Assad warplanes targeted Tuesday the town of Sirmeen east of Idlib with two missiles injuring a child and destroying a residential building, according to Orient News correspondent.

Video footage published by Smart news agency shows the aftermath of the airstrike. A man in the video says the airstrike targeted the northern part of the town injuring a child.

Assad regime and Iran-backed militias have launched repeated attacks on opposition-held areas across Syria in total disregard to the ceasefire.

A countrywide ceasefire in Syria was declared on Thursday (29 December 2016), after Turkey, Russia and opposition fighting groups reached a deal in the Turkish capital Ankara. According to the deal, Turkey and Russia would act as guarantor countries for the implementation of the ceasefire.
