At least 60 civilians killed in a car bomb attack in Aleppo’s Azaz

At least 60 civilians were killed while more than 50 others were injured on Saturday in Azaz town, Aleppo northern countryside, after a car bomb exploded, Orient News correspondent reported.

An explosive-laden vehicle was detonated by its driver near the Sharia courthouse in Azaz. The blast was enormous, which caused a big number of casualties and severe destruction in the area.

Many bodies filled the streets while a number of people were trapped under the rubble of collapsed buildings, according to our correspondent Khaled Abu al-Majd.

Rescue volunteers rushed to the scene to rescue the the injured, put off the fire and retrieve the bodies. Nobody has claimed the responsibility for the attack yet.

Azaz town witnessed a similar attack on Thursday when a car bomb blast took place north of the town near temporary shelters in an IDPs’ camp wounding a woman.
