Turkey-backed FSA kills 38 ISIS terrorists in al-Bab
Free Syrian Army (FSA) factions backed by Turkish forces have killed 38 ISIS terrorists in the last 24 Hours in northern Syria as part of Operation Euphrates Shield, Anadolu news agency reported Thursday citing a statement from the Turkish Armed Forces.

The statement added that Turkey-backed FSA fighters were able to hit 74 targets in the ISIS-stronghold of al-Bab city east of Aleppo. 

On Wednesday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the operation to liberate al-Bab should conclude soon. He also vowed to hit Manbij which is currently controlled by the Kurdish-led SDF militia. The PKK-affiliate YPG militia is the backbone of the SDF.

On 24 August, Turkey-backed FSA factions started Operation Euphrates Shield in northern Syria and have since liberated the cities of Jarablus and al-Raei in addition to dozens of villages in Aleppo countryside. FSA fighters have been advancing towards al-Bab and are now on the outskirts of the city.
