Assad regime launches multiple attacks in violation of ceasefire
In further violations of the ceasefire in its fourth day, Assad regime and Iran-backed militias attacked multiple locations in Syria killing at least two civilians in al-Rastan, according to Orient News correspondents.

Assad regime and supporting foreign militias continued to target the city of Douma in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus with artillery shelling. This follows similar attacks in the previous three days since the ceasefire took effect. There were also ground attacks to seize opposition-held locations in the eastern Ghouta in violation of the ceasefire.

In the city of al-Rastan north of Homs, Assad regime targeted residential areas with artillery shelling killing at least two civilians and injuring others. The regime also shelled the villages of Jawwalak, al-Mahattah and Sneisel in Homs northern countryside.

In the Wadi Barada valley, the Lebanese terrorist Hezbollah militia and Assad regime attacked the valley for the 11th consecutive day. Assad warplanes targeted the villages of Wadi Barada with 11 airstrikes in a stark violation of the ceasefire.

Moreover, Russian warplanes struck the city of Jisr al-Shughoor with two airstrikes using thermobaric (vacuum) bombs on Monday.

The monitoring group Syrian Network for Human Rights released a report Monday documenting 77 violations of the ceasefire by Assad regime and supporting militias in 72 hours since the ceasefire took effect last Thursday.

A countrywide ceasefire in Syria went into effect at midnight on Thursday (2200GMT), after Turkey, Russia and opposition fighting groups reached a deal in the Turkish capital Ankara. According to the deal, Turkey and Russia would act as guarantor countries for the implementation of the ceasefire.
