Assad regime and Iran-backed militias committed 26 violations of the ceasefire on Sunday and a total of 77 violations in 72 hours since it took effect at midnight last Thursday, according to a report by the monitoring group Syrian Network for Human Rights.

The report documented 21 violations by Assad regime and supporting foreign militias in multiple cities and towns while five violations in Aleppo and Hama were committed by the Russians. Two children were killed by the Assad regime’s attacks.

The network compiled the report after reviewing and verifying videos and photos received from the areas where the violations were committed in addition to interviews with survivors, witnesses and relatives of victims.

A countrywide ceasefire in Syria went into effect at midnight on Thursday (2200GMT), after Turkey, Russia and opposition fighting groups reached a deal in the Turkish capital Ankara. According to the deal, Turkey and Russia would act as guarantor countries for the implementation of the ceasefire.
