Assad terrorists attack Douma, Wadi Barada
In further violations of the ceasefire in Syria, an Assad sniper killed a civilian in Douma east of Damascus after Iran-backed militias and Assad regime targeted Douma with artillery shelling, according to Orient News correspondent.  Iran-backed and Assad terrorists also attacked opposition positions on the Homs-Damascus highway near Douma, our correspondent reported. 

Earlier on Friday, a civilian was killed after Hezbollah and Assad terrorists targeted Bassimeh in Wadi Barada east of Damascus with four barrel bombs and artillery shelling, Orient News correspondent reported. Terrorists from the Lebanese Hezbollah militia tried to advance on the front of al-Husainiyah in Wadi Barada but were repelled by opposition fighters. 

Orient News correspondents confirmed that Assad terrorists supported by Iran-backed and Palestinian militias attacked al-Meida’any town in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and that opposition fighters repelled their attack. Iran-backed and Assad terrorists also hit the town of Jisrin in the eastern Ghouta with mortar shells, without any casualties recorded.

In southern Syria, activists confirmed that Assad terrorists targeted Daraa’s al-Yadoudeh town with heavy machine gun fire.

A countrywide ceasefire in Syria went into effect at midnight on Thursday (2200GMT), after Turkey, Russia and opposition fighting factions reached a deal in the Turkish capital Ankara. Turkey and Russia will act as guarantor countries for the implementation of the ceasefire.
