Russian warplanes conducted three airstrikes in southern parts of al-Bab, northeast of Aleppo, killing 12 ISIS terrorists, the Turkish military announced on Friday.
Turkish military forces targeted 222 identified ISIS targets destroying shelters, weapon pits, command control buildings, weapons and vehicles used by the terrorists group.
Turkish warplanes killed 26 ISIS members, and destroyed 17 ISIS targets, 13 defensive positions/weapon pits, one armed vehicle and three armed vehicle factories, the military statement also said.
Free Syrian Army (FSA)’s explosive ordnance disposal teams destroyed 31 improvised explosive devices left by retreating ISIS terrorists in the region.
Turkey has been supporting FSA fighters in Operation Euphrates Shield, which was first launched on Aug. 24, to clear ISIS from areas near Turkey’s southern borders. Today marks the 129th day of Operation Euphrates Shield.
