Freezing weather, tent fire kill 4 displaced Syrian children
Two children and a man died Sunday in a fire that burnt their makeshift tent in the Bab al-Salamah refugee camp in Aleppo northern countryside, according to Orient News correspondent.

Activists said the children, two and three years old, died immediately while their parents were injured and later taken to hospital for treatment. Another displaced person died and four from one family injured by the same fire.

Two more displaced children died Sunday because of the cold weather in the Rubar camp near the city of Efreen to the north of Aleppo.

On Friday, two children died when 70 tents of displaced people collapsed in Harem, Idlib due to heavy snowfalls.

Freezing temperatures and heavy snowfalls have aggravated the suffering of internally displaced people who have to endure dire conditions in inadequate makeshift tents. The displaced lack proper clothing and means for heating and depend on aid for food and medicine.
