Civilians in al-Tal suffer weeks after Assad terrorists’ occupation
Three weeks after Assad terrorists have fully occupied al-Tal city in Damascus countryside after the displacement deal was enforced, living conditions are still difficult as Assad terrorists tighten the grip on civilians.

Al-Tal Coordination Committee (TCC) said on its Facebook page that pro-Assad thugs, especially Qalamoun Shield militia, are bullying, arresting and torturing civilians. Robbery cases have doubled in the city as gangs have the upper hand now.

Also, Assad terrorists breached the truce deal by arresting many young men either by storming houses or by arresting them at checkpoints. According to TCC, entrance and exit points to and from the city were sealed by Assad terrorists. Civilians are only allowed to move inside the city, but cannot leave it to bring any food supplies or fuels to be used for heating, while heating fuels’ prices are sky-high.

More, TCC confirmed that power is almost always cut off on all the neighborhoods in the city.

Employment cases have also increased because Assad terrorists prevent young men from earning daily bread through their mobile in-the-street kiosks.

Another group of the displaced people is due to leave on Monday. In this group, 350 people will be displaced and head to Idlib. This group includes civilians who are wanted by Assad regime as they have not joined military draft. These people refused to “settle their cases,” but wanted to stay in the city. Then, they decided to leave, according to TCC.

The deal struck between opposition fighters and Assad regime stipulated that the latter shall not enter the city or arrest anyone without informing the negotiation committee or being accompanied. The deal also stipulated that 2.000 opposition fighters shall leave to Idlib.
