Washington provides Moscow with Syrian opposition’s data
In a first event of its kind, Moscow received from Washington on Friday data of US-supported Syrian “moderate” opposition groups’ gathering and positioning without any separation from Fatth al-Sham fighters, SPUTNIK reported a Russian military source as saying.

The source said that Russian officers and representatives of the Pentagon held contacts in Geneva pointing out the US military officials provided data related to locations and positions of the US-supported opposition fighting groups.

Russia intervened in Syria last September in order to rescue Assad’s regime. Mr Putin’s air force has carried out hundreds of strikes against Syrian opposition fighter, particularly in the north around Aleppo and in Damascus eastern countryside.
