US-Russia Syria truce leaks: Assad fate not tackled
Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mikhail Bogdanov, announced on Friday that the Washington-Moscow agreement about Syria do not tackle Assad’s fate or the transitional period in Syria.

The Russian-American agreement about Syria, which was reached to on September 9, do not tackle Bashar Assad’s fate or the transitional process in the country because these are purely Syrian matters, Russian news agency Novosti cited Bogdanov as saying.

Bogdanov also considered that Syria Support Group has adopted important documents in this regard, with the participation of the permanent member states in UNSC and the UN Special envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura.

The Russian diplomat said that the UN resolution no. 2254, which was unanimously approved, clearly stipulates a ceasefire and issues regarding security, combating terrorism, and providing humanitarian assistance. 

Russian deputy minister of foreign affairs stressed that his country does not have any secret plans regarding the solution of the Syrian crisis, saying that contrary to public statements of some Western and Arab officials about having a Plan B, Russia continuously confirms that it does not have any secret plans called B or C.
