Opposition repels Assad terrorists’ attack on Latakia countryside
Opposition fighters repelled on Friday one of the fiercest Assad terrorists and allied militias’ attacks attempting to restore control over liberated areas in al-Akrad and al-Turkmen Mountains in Latakia countryside, Orient News correspondent reported.

The foiled attacks were launched by Assad terrorists and allied militias on many axes in al-Turkmen and al-Akrad Mountains, amid intensified aerial bombardment by Russian jet fighters, said Mohammad al-Ashkar, Orient News correspondent.

Abu Omar al-Homsi, a leader in Second Coastal Division, told Orient Net that dozens of Assad militias and National Defense militants were killed as their attacks was repelled.

Attackers were trying to advance to the axis of Kiliz, Qarmanlyya, al-Sarraf, and Burj al-Toffahyya in al-Turkmen Mountain.

The leader in the First Coastal Division, Abu Ahmad al-Jablawi, told Orient Net that Assad terrorists, in this fierce attack, were trying to create a gap in the liberated areas in al-Turkmen Mountain so that they reach to Jisr al-Sheghor in Idlib western countryside, especially by military pressure on Burj al-Toffahyaa axis which separates al-Turkmen Mountain from al-Akrad Mountain.

Meanwhile, attack and retreat battles are taking place between opposition fighters and Assad terrorists on the axes of Nahshabba, Rasha, Ardh al-Wata, and Ein al-Qantara in al-Akrad Mountain.

It is worthy to remind that Assad terrorists, backed by Iranian militias, were able to regain control over Kensebba and Salma towns in al-Akrad Mountain after hundreds of airstrikes by Russian warplanes.
