Obama and Erdogan meet on sidelines of G20, discuss terrorism
US President Barak Obama and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met on Sunday on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Hangzhou, China.

Obama told Erdogan that it is critical to “finish the Job” of securing Turkey’s border with Syria which foreign militants use to cross into Syria and enter Turkey as a gateway to Europe.

Erdogan reiterated that the US and Turkey must be in one joint front against terrorism, and that there should be no distinction between “good” terrorists and “bad” terrorists because all terrorism is bad.

Alos, Obama assured Erdogan that the US will work with Turkey to ensure that those who were behind the coup in Turkey are brought to justice.

After their meeting, presidents of US and Turkey held a brief press conference.

It is worthy to mention that this is the first meeting between Obama and Erdogan after the failed coup attempt of July 15 in Turkey.
