Opposition downs Russian helicopter in Hama

Opposition fighters’ Jaysh al-Ezza declared on Friday downing a Russian helicopter on the front Rahbet Khattab in Hama northern countryside, Orient News correspondent reported.

According to Jaysh al-Ezza’ Twitter account a Russian helicopter of type M34 was downed by a TOW missile while it was flying at a low altitude.

This is the second Russian helicopter to be downed by opposition fighters. The first helicopter was downed by opposition in Idlib countryside on August 1, which led to the death of its 5-member crew.
