Opposition pushes Assad terrorists out of Hama’s Helfaya
Opposition fighters said on Tuesday afternoon that they completely took control of the strategic city of Helafaya in Hama northern countryside, Orient News correspondent Feras Karem said.

The capturing of Helfaya came after Jays al-Ezza, a main opposition fighting group in Hama countryside, announced today launching a major offensive. It  started with preliminary shelling on Assad terrorists’ checkpoints in Hama northern countryside by the medium artillery.

Significant progress was immediately achieved by the opposition in the area, where The National Hospital of Helfaya, the northern gate of Helfaya, al-Masasneh village, al-Bowaydah and many Assad terrorists’ checkpoints were captured, including Abo Habeeb, al-Kherbeh, al-Kheyam, al-Saro and al-Madajen.

Opposition also killed at least 30 Assad terrorists during the fighting and captured an senior Assad terrorist, at the rank of Colonel.  

Burning tires helped opposition fighters in veiling Assad regime’s warplanes whose terrorists attacked attacked areas far from residential buildings. Large amounts of ammunition and weapons were seized in the offensive which was announced to support opposition in Aleppo.
