Three years and the massacre goes on
Adid Nassar painfully explains in his article in Al Arab how more than 1466 kids in Ghouta 3 years ago were killed by the Assad regime with poisonous gases violating Obama’s redlines.

Nassar discusses the Russian US trick played to pass the massacre and says that destroying the chemical arsenal would not bring the assassinated back to life. The Assad regime possessed arsenal was supposed to be a strategic weapon to be used against Israel but actually was used against Syrians only.

International organizations and agreements that prohibit the use of the weapons Assad has been using will be violated if Assad remains in power. In this case, the writer adds, the whole international community will be an accomplice unless it holds Assad accountable for all the committed crimes.

When Obama threatened to bombard Assad terrorists, they took shelter in schools and hospitals because no reasonable person targets such places. But later, Assad and Russia did.

Gouta residents buried the victims and Assad delivered the chemical arsenal in return leaving Syria unarmed to be destroyed and leaving its people to be killed and displaced.

The writer points out that Assad regime was safe because of the international community and they both coordinated their massacres against Syrians.

Nassar concludes that the world wants Syrians to forget the chemical massacres and the revolution. It wants us to focus on meetings and to wait for political solutions supported by the Russian jets with more influx of mercenaries from Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq. It wants us to forget the hundreds of thousands of Syrians being tortured and killed every day in Assad prisons. The chemical massacre Assad started in August 2013 is still going on under an international patronage; Assad and this international system share the criminality against Syrians.
