First batch of Darayya residents leaves city
The first batch of Darayya residents, in Damascus western countryside, left the city on Friday according to the agreement reached Thursday between an Assad regime’s delegation and representatives of civil and military bodies in the city, whereby residents will be evacuated from their city, under threats of genocide.

The first batch of civilians left Darayya city heading to Sahnaya. Scores of civilians and opposition fighters gathered in the main square in Darayya as the agreement with Assad regime is being enforced, according to Hadi al-Munajed, Orient News correspondent.

According to the agreement, the first batch to leave the city will contain about 4,700 people, including 700 opposition fighters and 4,000 civilians.

Opposition fighters who desire to head to Idlib, in northern Syria, will be transported to that destination, while civilians’ exit will be secured to Qudsayya and Sahnaya areas in Damascus countryside, as a first step.
