YPG controls key al-Guweiran neighborhood in Hasaka

People’s Protection Units organization, aka YPG, controlled on Tuesday the eastern and western parts of al-Guweiran neighborhood in al-Hasaka after the progress it achieved recently, Orient News correspondent reported.

Al-Guweiran is considered the last neighborhood which constitutes the defense line of Assad regime’s security square in al-Hasaka, according to observers. By taking control over this neighborhood, YPG forces have become very close to the security square.

This advancement comes after YPG organization forces were previously able to control the neighborhoods of al-Zuhur, al-Nashwa al-Sharqia, and the Faculty of Economics.

Then, Assad terrorists and allied militias withdrew from the al-Hasaka Central Prison, Immigration and Passports Administration building, Traffic Department, and Riot Police Brigade, according to Sham.
