Opposition fighters’ al-Fatth Brigade announced on Wednesday that they have took control of the strategic city of al-Raa’i in Aleppo northern countryside after heavy clashes with ISIS terrorists for 3 days, Orient News correspondent Khaled Abo al-Majed said.
Meanwhile, opposition groups’ media offices published photos from the innermost parts of the city showing ISIS’ barricades empty after its terrorists left the city.
’We have carried out mopping up operations in ISIS’ main positions. All booby traps were cleared,’ one of the opposition fighters told Orient News correspondent on condition of anonymity.
This significant development came after three days of nonstop clashes between the two sides, and after heavy shelling with mortar bombs on the city by the opposition fighters as videos showed.
A photo of two fighters reported to be ISIS terrorists was also published by the opposition’s media offices who said that the two were captured during the ongoing battles in the city.
