Ki-moon: No beginning to the end of Syrian crisis

UN top official has called for finding a political solution in Syria. "We call on the world leaders to find a political solution to the Syrian crisis or else we cannot do anything," UN chief Ban Ki-moon stated on Tuesday during the closing press conference of the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul, Turkey.

Ban argued that there are many crises happening in the world and we need political assistance to raise awareness.

"The Syrian crisis has been on going for 6 years and unfortunately we don’t see a beginning to the end," he continued.

UN chief stated that "if there is a political will, then we can achieve a humanitarian progress."

Regarding the world leaders who didn’t attend the summit, he said that "the absence of world leaders does not excuse them from inaction."
