Fernández then distinguished between Russian bombardment and that of the US saying that the former is legitimate and should not be considered intervention whereas the latter is an aggression because it violated Syria’s sovereignty. Russians, as he says, never targeted hospitals or schools, contrary to the US.
Not knowing that such details both papers, Assad’s and Putin’s, released fire back because they condemn Assad crimes and show the reality of Syrian people steadfastness.
Not in defence of the US or any other force that targeted Syrians or their land as they are all aggression forces which have their colonial interests in Syria, but if the papers believe that Russia has not bombarded Syria’s infrastructure but only ISIS, can the correspondent or any of the papers provide us with any list that shows names of those ISIS fighters Russia killed? Can they provide any lists of areas liberated from ISIS?
They cannot provide any because no lists exit. Russia may mention the re-taking of Palmyra from ISIS although it was proved that what happened in Palmyra was no more than a ‘black comedy’ produced by both Assad regime and ISIS and whose author was Russia itself aiming at deceiving the world and showing that Assad is fighting terrorism. Attested to this fact is what Sky news released about the coordination between ISIS and Assad in Palmyra and elsewhere;
“Documents obtained by Sky News revealed that the Syrian government’s recapture of the ancient city of Palmyra from Islamic State militants was apparently part of a pre-arranged deal that allowed ISIS to remove its heavy weaponry from the city before withdrawing”.
If ISIS had been really targeted by such great powers as Russia and the US, it would have vanished altogether a long time ago.
As for Russia not targeting hospitals and schools, reports by the UN and MSF documented Russia’s crimes and intentional targeting of Syria’s infrastructure killing any civilian who opposes Assad.
Who is really targeted by all powers is the Syrian people following Assad’s either legitimate or illegitimate invitation of foreign forces to target Syria.
Why is Fernández the ‘only’ correspondent? Assad regime has done its best to prevent media coverage of what was happening in Syria lest its crimes would be internationally known. Even amateurs using mobiles were arrested and killed if caught taking pictures.
Fernández talked about the resistance of Syrians not knowing the reality which is that Syrians are resisting Assad’s brutality because they are convinced that he is their only problem and all crimes, massacres and suppressions will disappear once this dictator leaves. Syrians are living normally either out of fear or conscious frozenness to the sight of their Syrian brothers. Normal life has come to mean silence, cowardliness and submission under a double or triple or you name it occupation.
