French Defense Minister: Assad factions support ISIS

French defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said during the security conference in Munich that “we know that there are certain factions loyal to Assad who support ISIS,” Anadolu Agency (AA) reported.

Le Drian added that “ISIS is like a nightmare which people are trying to escape,” emphasizing on the importance of a political solution in Syria for a political transition to take place.

“We have to confess, the values of the Islamic world were badly hit by ISIS,” he said.
