Kurdish militias or the so called Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) backed by Russian air cover captured Menneg military airport in Aleppo northern countryside, Syria Live Network (S.L.N.) reported.
The advance comes after days of fierce clashes between opposition fighters and PYD militias who took over a series of villages before reaching Menneg.
It is worth mentioning that Menneg military base has been held by opposition fighters since August 2013.
In contrast, several Assad terrorists were killed and injured when opposition fighters thwarted their attempt to advance toward Houber village in Aleppo southern countryside, according to S.L.N..
