Saudi King Salman calls on others not to interfere in Saudi affairs
Saudi Arabia’s King Salman on Sunday called on other countries not to interfere in the kingdom’s internal affairs in what appeared to be a rebuke to Riyadh’s main rival Iran whom Saudi Arabia  accuses of attempting to stir unrest, Reuters reported.

King Salman said that his country had "the right to defend itself", days after announcing the possibility of sending ground troops into Syria, The New Arab reported.

"We cooperate with our Arab and Muslim brothers in all areas in defending our lands and ensuring their independence and guarding the established systems of government," King Salman added added.

It is worthy to note that the Saudi military spokesman the brigadier Ahmad al-Aseeri said the kingdom was ready to send ground troops to fight ISIS in Syria.

Iran has been a long-standing and key ally of Assad regime throughout the five-year uprising in Syria.
