A letter of condolences to terrorists
Assad media says that the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan sent a letter of condolences to Assad on the January 31 terrorist act at the Sayeda Zeinab district of Damascus, which killed and wounded dozens of innocent civilians.

Instead of asking Assad to stop his massacres against Syrians, the Armenian President sends him condolences.

Sayeda Zeinab terrorist attack coincided with the opposition insistence in Geneva that Assad stop killing civilians and with ISIS immediately claiming responsibility for the attack; this makes us wonder who really perpetrated this attack!

Within this bloody reputation ISIS would not mind ascribe any terrorist act to itself.

ISIS has the habit of not claiming responsibility for attacks immediately; it usually waits till their magazine edition is released; however, they immediately claimed responsibility this time.

No dramatic and tragic event that might help the Assad regime propaganda has not been claimed by ISIS. Such a tragic event in Sayeda Zeinab coincided with the Geneva talks where the Assad regime needs to divert attention from essential humanitarian matters to focusing on other issues and forgetting about the regime’s crimes of starvation and siege.

This explains the close coordination and cooperation between ISIS and Assad.

Assad regime representatives were prepared in Geneva to start talking about the suffering of the Syrians from such terrorist attacks.

Assad’s scenario is understood; by conducting this attack, he attempted to deceive the world to strengthen his representatives’ stance in Geneva.

The Assad regime stepped up air raids against Syrians immediately before the start of peace talks. This was apparently intended to have an advantage in the negotiations.

Sayeda Zeinab is an area fully controlled by Assad and Hezbollah Shiite militias which is full of Assad forces; this makes it impossible to perpetrate any terrorist attack without Assad’s approval and without coordination with his forces.

Such a tragic event is meant to provide the regime’s delegation to Geneva with a topic not only to discuss, but to sideline every other issue plaguing Syrians today; the only topic on the regime’s agenda with de Mistura today was that of Sayeda Zeinab attack.

It might have escaped Serzh Sargsyan that Assad kills indiscriminately in Syria and Armenians are no exception; Assad fighter jets killed many Armenians when Assad shelled the Turkmen Bayir-Bucak region of Kasab under the pretext of fighting terrorism.

After the Armenian President knows the truth, one would wonder what letter will he address to Assad?!
