Ammunition from Syria hits house in Turkey’s southeast
Ammunition concluded to have come from close-by Syria in the southeastern Kilis province hit a house early Feb. 2. No casualties have been reported.

The unidentified ammunition hit the wall of Nimet İlban’s house around 3 a.m. Residents living nearby informed security forces of the explosion.

Security forces began examinations to identify the ammunition, Daily News reported.

Kilis is on the edge of a roughly 100-km strip of Syrian border territory controlled by ISIS. Turkish towns in the region have frequently seen artillery fire spill over during Syria’s war, which is about to enter its sixth year.
