A thousand of Hezbollah militants killed in Syria

Hezbollah-allied al-Safir newspaper reported that Hezbollah militia has lost more than a thousand militants and thousands have been injured in their involvement in Syria’s conflict.

The newspaper stated that “Hezbollah’s involvement in the conflict has become way too deep, especially that it has lost around a thousand fighters including thousands who were injured or have become handicapped.”

These confessions come at a time when Hezbollah is trying to conceal the number of its dead or wounded since the beginning of the revolution; it repeatedly denied all media reports that tried to report the deaths of dozens in its ranks.

Anadolu Agency reported last month, according to statistics provided by unnamed sources in the US intelligence forces, “that the number killed from Hezbollah inside Syria could exceed 6 thousand fighters.”
