Assad fails to protect his loyalists in Homs

Loyalists in pro-Assad areas demonstrated in Homs on Thursday over what they called “Assad’s failure of protecting them”. Demonstrations started from Ekrema towards al-Zahra in Homs because of Assad’s inability to protect them.

According to pro-Assad media outlets, the angry protesters demanded the resignation of top security officials including the city governor and criticized state run media for not acknowledging the high number of the dead and missing among loyalists in recent attacks which were very frequent.

They also accused Assad security committees of failing to protect the pro-Assad areas and called them “liars” after the breakthrough of their barriers by suicide bombers.
