Syrians’ being is at stake; it is unnegotiable
Assistant Regional Secretary of Baath party in the Assad regime, Hilal al-Hilal, announced that the regime will not make any concessions in future peace talks. This comment comes ahead of scheduled talks in Geneva to work on ending Assad’s war on Syrians which has killed more than 300,000 people and displaced more than 11 millions. His remarks were published by Assad media two days ago.

Anyone in a conflict can make such a powerful statement if:

*he enjoys legitimacy

*he is responsible

*he has sovereignty

*he is a decision maker

*he relies on his own powers

Assad, however, does not possess any of the above. As he killed more than hundreds of thousands of Syrians and displaced more than 11 million in and out Syria, and as Syrians rose against him and his brutality, he is illegitimate.

He has no sense of responsibility or caring; the only language he knows is that of killing, detaining and torture.

Assad depends on Russia, Iran, Hezbollah and their militias for any decision to be taken. These powers are occupying Syria and imposing their decisions on Assad and his regime.

The one who said: “either I rule Syria, or burn it” will never be ready to negotiate.

The one who has been killing Syrian with no mercy will never negotiate.

Had he listened to the voice of Syrians when they demanded reform and freedom, war would not have erupted and Syrians would not have been slaughtered, nor would there have been need for negotiations or concessions.

But with such a terrorist, who is against every Syrian and who is a servant to Russia, Iran and Hezbollah, will never listen to Syrians and their demands. The only way out to oust this dictator is to continue resisting him and his dictatorship.

The secret of Syrian’s power is when they said “NO”, and this “NO” is uncompromisable.

Syrians’ being is at stake; it is unnegotiable.
